Well hello there!

I’m Vickey, I’m 33 and live in the arse end of nowhere in Surrey, England.

I’ve been living with manic depression since i was 17 and I’m also a recovering alcoholic. I say recovering despite being sober for 9 year now because I think I’ll always be an alcoholic.  I haven’t touched it in 9 years now but it will always be an illness I’m afflicted with.

Robert Downey Jnr and I were in rehab (different continents) at roughly the same time and I take my inspiration from him.  He’s managed to stay sober and so have I.  He’s showed me what’s possibly despite having a mental illness and an addiction. My aim in life is to be able to hug him and say thank you. I also named my cat after him - Robert Meowney Jnr (Bob for short). I figured he’s find that amusing.

Renner has been a constant in my life since I saw Monkey Love way back in 2003. I was captivated and greedily devouored anything and everything that he had done. I’m so proud of where he is now and he has taught me to try and have no fear when it comes to life.  It’s a hard piece of advice to follow sometimes for someone who struggles with anxiety aswell as depression but it’s one of the things that has kept me going and alive so I’d like to tell him thank you for that. 

So, thats me pretty much.  Don’t be afraid to pop into my ask. I’m happy to talk about my illness with anyone - I’m not ashamed of it.  And if you need to talk about it with someone who understands, gimme a shout, anon or not.  I’ve been living with it for a looooooooong time so I’ll help where i can.
